Last updated: 19 May 2026
Rent Pilot helps Australian landlords and renters manage rental applications, leases, condition reports, rent records, support requests, and related tenancy workflows. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.
Information We Collect
We may collect account details, contact details, identity or profile information you provide, property and tenancy records, application details, lease and condition report records, rent and payment setup status, support messages, uploaded documents or photos, notification preferences, and technical information such as device, browser, app version, IP address, and login activity.
How We Use Information
We use information to provide the product, authenticate users, show the correct landlord or renter workspace, support rental workflows, prepare records requested by users, maintain security, send service notifications, respond to support requests, improve reliability, troubleshoot issues, and meet legal or operational obligations.
Sharing
We share information only where needed to operate Rent Pilot, including with infrastructure, authentication, support, storage, analytics, payment, document rendering, electronic signing, messaging, and notification providers. We may also share information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or with your direction. We do not sell personal information.
Security
We use access controls, authentication, audit records, and provider-managed infrastructure to protect account and tenancy information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
International Providers
Some service providers may process or store information outside Australia. Where that occurs, we use providers that support appropriate operational and security controls for the service.
Retention
We retain records for as long as needed to provide the service, support active tenancy workflows, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and maintain business records.
Access, Correction, and Deletion
You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information associated with your account. Some tenancy, payment, support, audit, or legal records may need to be retained where required for security, compliance, dispute resolution, or business record keeping.
Children
Rent Pilot is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review the account.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product, providers, or legal requirements change. The latest version will be available on this page.
